Momentum ("we", "us", "our") is a habit-coaching service operated by Calvin Kudzai in the United Kingdom. We take your privacy seriously — not as a legal chore, but because trusting us with the honest details of your life is the whole point of the service. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We are the data controller for the information described here, and you can reach us any time at hello@mymomentum.coach.
What we collect
Only what we need to coach you well:
- Your intake answers — the details you give us when you join: your name, email, WhatsApp number, city, time zone, goals, the habits you want to build, and anything you choose to tell us about your situation, including any health context you volunteer.
- Your day-to-day coaching data — the habits your coach designs, your daily logs, your streaks, your weekly check-ins, and the messages between you and your coach.
- Your commitment record — if you sign the Momentum commitment, we keep a copy of your signature and the date, as a record that you made it.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.
- Basic, privacy-friendly usage data — we use cookieless analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages help. This does not identify you personally and sets no tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
- To deliver your coaching (our contract with you) — your intake, habits, logs and messages exist so your coach can do their job.
- To take payment (our contract with you) — via Stripe.
- To send you emails you asked for (your consent) — if you join our list or waitlist, we’ll email you, and you can unsubscribe at any time in one click.
- To keep the service working and improve it (our legitimate interests) — basic analytics and security, balanced against your privacy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, ever. We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run Momentum, and share only what each needs to do its job:

Each of these has its own privacy protections, and we only work with providers that take data protection seriously.
Where your data is held, and for how long
Some of our providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place (such as standard contractual clauses) to keep it protected to UK standards.
We keep your coaching data for as long as you’re a member and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you return. If you leave, you can take an export of everything with you, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the data we hold about you; ask us to correct anything wrong; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise any of these, just email hello@mymomentum.coach and we’ll sort it. If you’re ever unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can also complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we’d always rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Keeping it safe
We protect your data with access controls, encryption in transit, and the principle of least access — your coach sees only their own clients. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information the way we’d want ours treated.
Children
Momentum is for adults. The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
